SIM Card Failure after iOS 17 Update

I had the same issue when updating my iPhone 13 to IOS 17.2.1. I had no 4G connection when it powered up. I tried taking the SIM out and putting it back in and turning Airplane mode off and on but neither resolved the issue. I had to switch my SIM to my work phone (android), let it power up but still it doesn’t work in it. Pls give any suggestions.

I have the same problem in my iphone 12 since i updated to 17.2.1 i did every thing factory format, change sim card, change sim card slot and still not working

I hope apple fixes this as fast as possibile

After an update for ios 17.2.1, my iPhone 13 Pro Max has sim card failure issue. It says no sim. I have to force restart to get my coverage back. After couple of hours, it will happen again. It so annoyed as sometimes it happens without me noticed. People cannot reach me when I'm outside as the wifi connection isn't there. Anyway, I was on ios 16.7.2 before updating to ios 17.2.1. I had no issue before. Please fix this as soon as possible

Yup, same here on my iPhone 13 mini, trashed my SIM card, doesn't work in any device now and had to order a new one from network provider. No ability to do outside phone calls until it arrives. Thanks Apple.

I am concerned about this nonsense. My mom (who’s almost 80) had this same issue with her iPhone 13, a few days ago. She had to take the phone to the carrier, and since it was not repairable, she is now waiting for her new iPhone 13 to arrive in the mail (tomorrow).

I, on the other hand own an iPhone 12 Mini. It keeps wanting me to update it however, I am very nervous about doing that at this point.

Does anyone else own a 12 Mini? If so did you have any issues after installing the iOS 17 update(s)?

Still no help from Apple on this issue. I cannot get help from my carrier because I cannot receive their verification codes on my phone so they won't even talk to me on chat. Why haven't you fixed this update? I have restarted the phone, airplane, update, SIM check. All failures.

Same thing here with 13 pro! I went to the service center and they told me that the whole thing needs to be replaced because of the update.

But guess what? They are not gonna cover it! 1,5k$ for the repair!

I replaced physical sim and it seemed to have resolved but then the same issue again on the newly replaced sim. No upgrades post replacing the sim. :(

Updated my iPhone 14 and it immediately killed my sim card

cant get it to come back online
