Is there anything else to fix battery health other than to buy a new phone?

I have had my iPhone 14 Pro for the past 9 months and has gotten to 92%, which some people have said that this is normal. However, when the time comes—and my iPhone has low battery health, what else can I do that doesn’t involve buying an entirely new phone? I’ve noticed that when I updated my old iPhone 7, the battery health declined massively and is almost unusable due to the very short battery lifespan, even though the phone has been around for a long time.

Besides that, I was planning to update to iOS 17, but I already know that the iOS updates drain battery health to my experience. So is there anything I can do about this in the future?

Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.

You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone.

This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.

Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.
