iPhone syncing to MacBookPro fails at calendar syncing

I restored a time machine backup of a work computer onto a new MacBookPro as part of my retirement process. I always have synced my iPhone to my laptop (plugged in syncing) - The iPhone does not have any accounts connected to work's MS Exchange Server, and the MS Exchange Server accounts that the source laptop had (the one that I restored on the the new machine) have been removed. However, when I try to sync my iPhone to my new laptop, it just hangs trying to sync to the exchange calendars and I can't see why it's even trying to find the exchange accounts that don't exist anymore.

Where is the calendars/accounts to sync specified? I can't see them on either machine, but it's clear that there is some specification someplace that needs to be adjusted so I can resume backing up and syncing my iPhone

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Hi ChipGore,

It sounds like you might have a Mobile Device Management profile or something similar. You can check under Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. If you have a profile here that's related to the previous job you mentioned, removing that may clear up the issue. Depending on the exact configuration of the device, you might have to reach out to the IT department.

The suggestion is not helpful as my phone is in an odd state. When I select the "info" button, I am not presented with any options at all.

What I am presented with is:

And I no longer have access to the Exchange Server (that was a work server for a company that I longer work at). And I do not know how to tell either my phone of the laptop that the Exchange Server should not be used.
