When I downloaded IOS 17 the imessage app bar was replaced by a drawer (+). Is there a way I can go back to the imessage app bar?
No, you cannot revert to the previous version. You can let Apple know your thoughts on the matter here:
As iOS 17 may not have been added to the drop down menu yet, be sure to include that information in the text box.
