My iMac has been hacked

My computer was hacked by a (grey hat? I'm guna go just a sibling in law) hacker for over 2 years. They had personal access to my device, router, passwords among other things (dumb of me, I know), and they were able to download software like Homebrew and download other GitHub software, etc to spy on me, and they wrote python scripts to use the cameras and listeners (audio, mics) on other apps like discord, slack, teams to spy on me! In addition they used "parental spyware" like spynger/ mspy to target my devices (yes, they must have actually paid for subscriptions)

Part of me learning about this, and about Macs in general, was first learning how to read the Console logs. Parts of the install logs that had the most proof though are suddenly gone!!

Not with the Mac. Nothing on your Mac can possibly link any particular person's action to having tampered with it. Console logs are useless. They will prove nothing.

Unauthorized tampering with computing equipment is a crime in most jurisdictions. If you are bound and determined to prove someone did something malicious with your Mac you will need to obtain conclusive evidence of that person having hands-on access to it. Then, he or she will claim you must have authorized access to your Mac since you left it accessible to that someone, and if you wanted to prevent that access you would have locked it up. You'll get nowhere with that claim. Breaking into a locked office or home would be another story. That's illegal too.

This type of advice goes way beyond the limited purpose of this technical support site. Retain an authorized legal representative or contact an appropriate law enforcement agency. Best wishes.
