iOS 17 Storage Space Bug / Issue

You're going to have to reset or roll back the phone and try again, sorry.

I hadn’t even used half my storage! Now after update I have used three quarters of it! I’m not buying a new iPad or iPhone because my storage full!! Hope this gets sorted promptly!

This saved only 1GB for me and after the first attempt now just displays a yellow link to Storage Settings in the Camera app. Glad it worked for you.

I refuse to do the update. I suggest calling apple support and ask for a senior advisor. They’re the only ones that know how to help you with your phone a senior advisor.

My phone literally doesn’t work because of storage my calls won’t go thru messages take forever to send my app offload My pictures is gone

So the latest patch 17.1.1 worked for me, I am on an iPhone 12 though so not sure if that makes a difference. I am no longer getting the storage space issue.

Hello, i had a call from apple support and they advised me to do the same. Reset the phone and restore from backup. Issues are now solved.

#everyone, update 17.1.2 is available, it works, try it. I ran it on a 13 Pro max, it was fine.

Is there any chance that Apple is aware of the problem?

Has anyone updated to iOS 17.2 and seen that the issue has been fixed?

I’m sure they know about a lot of the problems the new update caused . It hid Siri and I had to literally research how to turn her back on. It changed a lot of my settings really disappointed.
