After updating to iOS 17, I am trying to get the widget screen upon tilting the phone to side while charging. It’s not working for me.
I am using iPhone XR and using wired charging.
Tried by enabling/disabling rotate mode as well.

You'll have to tap your iPhone screen to get Standby to work on an iPhone XR. For it to be automatic and stay on your screen all night, you have to have an iPhone with an Always on Display, which would be iPhone 14 Pro model or the newest 15 Pro models releasing tomorrow.

Did you go to Settings>Standby and turn it on?
Yes, it is turned on already since the update.
Tried the same, and still doesn’t work. I even turned on the option Show preview on Tap Only within StandBy in Settings. Still it’s the same. When I tap, the Lock Screen pops up
I think it took some time to reflect. But now it is working. Upon tap, I can see the widget stack.
My 15 pro max won’t work when charging either. It used to before the update. Now just a white small digital clock appears in the upper left hand corner in landscape mode
