Now my watch is stuck on the apple icon. It will not respond to the side button or side button + crown restarts.

I just updated my iPhone 14 to the iOS and was in process of updating iWatch 5. My watch is having a hard time updating. First, it just kept repeating the install process. It would look like it was done only to get an error, have to enter a 6 digit code, and try again. This happened several times. Now my watch is going back from forth between the apple icon and blank screen. It is not responding to shutting down (pressing the side button) nor a hard restart (pressing the side button + crown). What else can I do? Something happened to the watch during this update and now its like its stuck between shutting down and turning on. Thank You!
