Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're experiencing issues with your iPad. If so, we'll like to help out by recommending some steps to help troubleshoot this issue. Try following the steps below:
1.) To troubleshoot your device not being listed, double check that Find My is enabled: Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac - Apple Support
2.) If Find My is properly set up, refresh your communication settings by resetting your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before. If you're using iCloud Keychain, these settings are also removed from other signed-in devices.
You might also want to try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network to see if that helps out.
