I took a facetime pic of after i did update of IOS17, and i cant find my pics? Is anyone else experiencing this?

After upgrading to 17.4 last night, on a facetime call I took over 20 pictures but only the first 4 saved. I have over 600 GB free on my iPhone 14.

We'd be happy to provide you with some information. When you take a Live Photo in Face Time, you should be able to find it in the Photos app. Take a Live Photo in FaceTime on iPhone - Apple Support

Perhaps to look & see how device 'free space' verses 'icloud-based'
capacities are used. Since from outside your system, it may be iCloud
has archived; or it may have been lost in shuffle of content in between.
It's possible to lose items within a process, where hoped for outcomes differ.
Backups to drive/SSD external archive offline, are always advised.
To have backups of the machine backups, at least 3 copies is best.
