no, the service did, they are saying that this mistake is from previous display.
then, the mistake will be gone.
This is mentioned in the article you linked from:
The diagnostics are only able to test the existing hardware. The diagnostics do not even store any previous test results AFAIK. Either this tech has no clue what they are doing or they don't want to do their job.
Was this repair performed by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP)? I would ask to speak with a manager. If so, then I would report them to Apple since that is very bad service from Apple or an AASP.
If you had an unofficial repair performed, then you are at the mercy of that tech or repair shop. You should ask to speak with the manager at that repair shop. You can find another more knowledgeable tech to help you out, but keep in mind if the part is bad (or they replaced the wrong part), then your only recourse is to have the previous tech make things right, otherwise you will be paying for another full repair again. At least having another tech examine the laptop you will get a second opinion and the second tech can see if the first tech caused any damage (or perhaps overlooked liquid damage).
thank you.
I replaced my display today, it broke.
I changed it and started doing diagnostics and this error came up.
Could this error be from a past display that was broken? Or is this error from the new display already installed?
You did this repair yourself?
