AirTag Sharing Not Available in iOS 17

We are using several iPhones, iPads and AirTags with three different Apple IDs. We have upgraded all devices to iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. However, on the devices that are connected to the Apple ID of my son, AirTag sharing is not available. He can neither share his AirTags nor receive sharing invitations. The option to share is not available in his Find My app.

I need to note that he is not of age, and his birthday is correctly set in the Apple ID. Are there known limitations with underage accounts and / or screen time settings?

AirTag Sharing works flawlessly with the other Apple IDs.

If you son has a Child's Apple ID, then he cannot participate with the new AirTag sharing feature that comes with iOS 17.
