AirTag sharing keeps failing

I can share my air tags with my wife, but she can't share them with me.

The process works as it should until I accept. Then it drops from her phone and mine, like it was never initiated.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Complete the following steps to see if they help to resolve the issue with the AirTags no longer appearing:

1. Ensure all devices are updated as software updates were recently released. If an update is needed, back up first. Here's a guide with both steps, just in case: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
2. Stop sharing the AirTags using the steps here: Share an AirTag or other item in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support
3. Reset the AirTags and set them up again for fresh connections: How to reset your AirTag - Apple Support and Set up your AirTag using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
4. Share the AirTags again using the resource in Step 2 above.
