Cannot switch Apple Watch faces after 10.0.1 update

One step on my watch…

I changed the settings on my watch and it still does not swipe to change the faces?

Same problem with my watch face. I have created a new one with photos and it doesn’t show up on my watch no matter if I reboot or delete other watch faces. It’s so frustrating.

Thanks so much for this! I would have never figured it out. I also figured out that if you press and hold a little bit longer, you can slide which watch faces you want to be in their particular order.

I found a tube video that tells the fix. You press on the face and hold. The window shows a smaller face and the EDIT underneath. Now just swipe left or right to change the watch face. Tap on the face to get out of edit mode and your selected watch face goes full screen.

I cannot without going back and forth to my I phone which is very inconvenient. Store told me to press a finger on the watch’s face and it will change to smaller pics which I can then scroll and change to the one like. As u can guess it didn’t work. Now what?

I went to the Apple store/Genius bar, it appears the only solution is after you have upgraded your watch to osi 10, uninstall your watch from the app and reinstall. This is what the tech did and the app is working as designed, I was able to change the face. Good Luck

Unfortunately the Genius Bar guys sometimes are well behind the community of users.

the only way now is to touch and press a face for a second and then slide it until you find your other face you want.

How can we place the request to bring back swiping the watch faces like it was before the update? So it could be optional for those who want to swipe can activate it again. I am missing i so much.

I had so much features in different faces so I could easily swipe and access them.

Pressing and holding is simply not the same anymore.

I often wonder if this support site is just for those of us who are stuck or if Apple ever looks at the comments/issues. Contact them. I doubt they would go back to anything that was working just fine.

How on earth can you like it more now?? Before you could easily swipe to change face. Without causing any issue. And now you have to press and hold instead. Btw press and hold to swipe was possible even before. But to disable swiping makes it harder to change faces.

I see. But would it not make sense to bring back the easy switch faces by swiping as an optional feature which could be activated or deactivated? In this case they would serve both sides.. the light and the dark ;)
