Cannot switch Apple Watch faces after 10.0.1 update

Here are the instructions on how to change watch faces on a Google watch:

1. Press and hold your watch face.
2. Swipe left and choose a new watch face.
3. Select by tapping the watch face you want from the list.
4. Swipe left to select the color, layout, and complications you want.

Apple DID bring it back! It is mentioned lots of times in this thread.

That's a thing? Never happened with me. But it's a pain now. They could make this an option, at least. Something else to send in the feedback

Well, that's the point of having faces, to begin with. They made a good functionality worse for no apparent reason, as this wouldn't affect ppl like you, who never used it, but affects who does.

Why did you Apple, change this? Now its a hassle to swipe to my fitness face to start my excercise. Sometimes even with the new “edit” view it still doesn’t slide?

What gives Apple the right to change MY watch. I change faces 5 to 6 times daily depending on my activity.

so weird, why it's under Clock

A watch is a tiny clock!

I guess the weird thing is that the Clock is just one complication in a Watch Face, perhaps the parent setting label should be called Watch Face not Clock

My watch face would not swipe, so I went to Settings, scrolled down to "clock" and clicked on "Swipe to switch watch faces" and it worked!!!

Did this and it worked for a day. Then stopped working. Now trying touch and hold the middle of the clock face until it switches to Edit mode, then it will swipe. This latest update is a pain.

In the new update on the clock screen you can press and hold to change/edit clock faces much like you can on iPhone Home Screen.

Download WatchOS 10 user guide. There you'll see that to bring up control center, you tap the elongated power button once. It's NOT an awful update. You just haven't learned how to use it.
