CarPlay Issue with longer Cable

I am having constant issues with CarPlay connectivity from my MAZDA CX-5 Sport using my iPhone 13 mini. I need a longer cable to keep the cable away from the controller and the gear lever consoles. According to internet research, the car output voltage seems ok and the input voltage to the iPhone appears to be ok too but after a short time (up to 10 minutes duration) a cable any longer than one metre causes a drop out and attracts the frustrating and recurring “Moisture in the Lightning Cable etc” message on the iPhone. I have had 7 calls to Apple and visited the Cambridge Apple shop 4 times seeking help, all to no avail despite testing numerous cables and following Apple’s direction. HELP PLEASE PLEASE.

Hello Moygrubney,

This page can help out with providing some steps and suggestions regarding the liquid-detection alert: If you see a liquid-detection alert on your iPhone - Apple Support

If your iPhone or accessory is wet
Unplug the cable from your iPhone and unplug the other end of the cable from the power adapter or accessory.
Don't plug the cable in again until your iPhone and the cable are completely dry.
Dry your iPhone:
1. Tap your iPhone gently against your hand with the connector facing down to remove excess liquid. Leave your iPhone in a dry area with some airflow.
2. After at least 30 minutes, try charging with a Lightning or USB-C cable or connecting an accessory.
3. If you see the alert again, there is still liquid in the connector or under the pins of your cable. Leave your iPhone in a dry area with some airflow for up to a day. You can try again to charge or connect an accessory throughout this period. It might take up to 24 hours to fully dry.
4. If your phone has dried out but still isn't charging, unplug the cable from the adapter and unplug the adapter from the wall (if possible) and then connect them again.
Here are a few things not to do:
* Don’t dry your iPhone using an external heat source or compressed air.
* Don't insert a foreign object, such as a cotton swab or a paper towel, into the connector.
* Don’t put your iPhone in a bag of rice. Doing so could allow small particles of rice to damage your iPhone.
If your iPhone and accessory aren't wet
If you see this alert every time you connect a certain cable or accessory, that cable or accessory might be damaged. Contact the manufacturer.
If you see this alert every time you connect an Apple Lightning or USB-C cable or accessory, contact Apple Support.

It may also help to try an Apple-branded cable if you haven't just yet to see if that works as expected.

Be sure to also check for any iOS updates at Settings > General > Software Update to ensure the latest fixes are applied.

Cheers.

Apple repeatedly and most frustratingly and despite 7 times on a call and 4 visits to the Cambridge Apple Shop, repeatedly give a solution to fix a “Moisture Issue” but no solution to why a longer than 1 m cable won’t work with my iPhone 13 mini on CarPlay. My Wife’s SE works perfectly and I have tried numerous cables, some of which the Cambridge shop acknowledged, are better quality than the “genuine Apple” cables.
