iPhone screen green after iOS 17 Update

I had the same issue. Contact apple support team and submit your device to nearest authorised service centre and ask team for the cause of the issue. Convey the same to customer support and ask them to change the display free of cost.

Many user did the same and got it replaced free of cost.

no bro dont pay anything, go to iplanet service center and tell them the whole story bcs they are already aware of this issue, they will replace it free of cost , today they replaced my 13 pro max display within 1 hour

Aptronix service center replaced my screen free of cost.

Device: iPhone 13 Pro Max

I also faced the same issue (green lines) suddenly after an update on 05th April,2024. My phone is out of warranty. (Bought: Mar’22). I submitted the device at service center, they got an approval for free screen replacement after diagnostic report. Don’t open or repair at unauthorised stores. Great that Apple didn’t break the trust. But it’s sad that Apple didn’t start a free service programme yet.

My 13 pro max got a green/yellow screen when upgrading ios to 17.2.1.

Issue repro step,

1. Iphone default ios ver is 16.5.1. A reminder appears "iOS 17.2.1 Now Available" in settings.

2. Press install ios 17.2.1 from settings/general/software update.

3. See screen flash then turn to full yellow.

4. Press vol up/down + power to reboot the system.

5. System back to home screen.

6. Press install ios 17.2.1 again.

7. The screen had full green lines this time and could not recover even when I pressed vol up/down + power again.

This is a known issue,

Until now, There is no official release from Apple to solve this problem or warn users.

Apple support center & studioA recommendation is to pay about USD 420 to replace the screen even if they check my 13 pro max without any other problems.

(They couldn't support this issue without an official solution. Display fails, User pays for it,  Maintenance center replaces the new one then sends the failure display to the original factory. That's all)

**I shouldn't press the install button during the new year's holiday and Happy new year 2024!

3 days back i also faced the same issue with my iphone 13 pro max , i was using GPS and suddenly the screen turned to light green and never came back , my phone is out of warrenty but still apple changed my display because there was no physical damage , no water damage , never repaired outside market. Just go to icare planet and tell them the truth , dont go to Ample tech pvt ltd service center because they will charge 2k for diagnostics.

Even i have faced the same issue of green screen in 13 Pro Max, and I was stressed.

I directly went to IPlanet Care, and they helped to resolve it without any charges.(Though my phone was out of warranty.)

I am sharing a screenshot below for reference.

Advice: Do not open your device in any other shop; otherwise, iPlanet will not be able to do it free.They will check if the phone is dropped or not and validate.

Same happened with me apple centre replaced the screen without any charge. Go to an apple service centre

Take it to Apple service center. Pro and Pro Max has exception. So you will get display replaced for free even if the phone is out of warranty. Note: only for pro and pro max series

Yes. Even if its out of warranty, you will get free replacement. Because pro and pro max has special exception for green screen.

I took my phone to Mapel X and got free replacement.

They may charge you as the displayed crash was due to their iOS 17.1.2 update. You may check with your nearest apple authorised service centre

Have you tried rolling back the update using iTunes ? If it really is a software problem then I think the issue should be resolved by rolling back the update.

Hi, I have the same issue with 11 pro max. the moment iphone was updated with 17.0.2, face7id has been disabled. After few hours, green screen. And, by the night, the phone was dead, not turning on. Flashing with apple logo. Contacted apple service cnetre, not supporting. I am having 2 more iphones 11 pro, and afraid of updating the ios. Its another kind of business jimmik by apple. never expected. #bogus (15 years of apple user).

Apple will replace screen if the issue is there fault. No worries.

I am having an iPhone 13 Pro Max and post iOS 17.1.2 update, my display turned white. As I was under the Apple care+ program, apple changed the display for me for free within 14 days.
