Ultra 2 10.0.1 cant set a passcode

Got new watch, tried to restore few times, no luck. Passcode is gray.

tried to add a payment cards - popup appears to set a passcode but not allowed.

no profiles installed.

Passcode set up greyed out on Apple Watch 8 I went thru set up for new Apple Watch 8 and set a 4 digit passcode when prompted. However no passcode appears to be successfully set up. And trying again at passcode option screen either on iPhone or on the watch itself won’t allow me to set up a passcode. The options are not clickable. Can anyone help? Apple Watch passcode not working I upgraded my iPhone and watch to IOS 16.3 and watchOS 9.3, unpair and unpair, and turn on and off, but it seems nothing is working in relation to my watch passcode. Everything in the passcode area is greyed out except for the wrist detection. I was trying to add cards to the wallet, which requires a passcode, but when I go to the settings, I cannot do anything. Even when I take off the watch from my wrist and put it back on, it does not ask for the passcode. Please assist. Thanks
