In the new update why did they get rid of the duck texting sound??? You can only use it if you put it as you ring tone but not your texting.

Indeed no Duck sound for text sounds, but it is present for Ring tone.

Mine was good through 17.1.1. Then a couple days later, it updated to 17.1.2. That's when I lost my "Quack."
Duck sound gone. It's why I don't like to do updates.
They remove things for no reason.
You can get a duck sound for texts if you go to an app and PAY FOR IT.

Just checked on an (old) iPodTouch - iOS 9.3.5 the Duck sound is still present on Text Sound.
As you may know from the Lounge discussions, the device shown at the bottom of the first post is rarely the one in question.
I am assuming iOS17 is in question, maybe the OP can confirm. If it is ios15 then fine, the duck is still available free.
Cannot get the duck sound on my text only on incoming calls. What a total waste of time even looking at the answer answers. You never answered anybody you never helped anybody. Nobody is happy so why did you take the duck sound away for texting? Just keep doing what you wanna do you don’t care about us.

I’ve just done this too.. however I wouldn’t get your hopes up… I would have a go at my work around… you wouldn’t know the difference.
