After updating to iOS 17 the top half of the wallpaper is getting blurred on both homescreen and lockscreen even when not desired, and there is no way to turn this off.
I tried changing to multiple wallpapers with different aspect ratios but the issue still persists. It is starting to get bothersome, please help.

Yeah this is probably the stupidest feature update ever. The only way to fix it is to revert back to iOS 16. Cropping images to your screen size doesn't work either because it just zooms in by default when selecting an image to set as your wallpaper. I hope they get rid of it or at least make an option to turn it off soon.
The OP is referring to when you try to set a lock screen and try to fit the full image it automatically blurs the tope where the time is. I screen recorded what it looks like. https://imgur.com/rWxcyxw
