How long does it take to transfer 120 gigs to a new iPad
I am setting up my new iPad 10 and it’s been over 10 hours and it’s still updating. How long does it take to update?

120GB is a lot of data. Depending upon circumstances and your network connection, 10 hours or more may not be unusual or unexpected.
The time required to transfer or restore data from a backup will be determined by many factors, including but not limited to:
- how much data must be transferred or restored from iCloud
- the speed/throughput of your internet connection
- the speed/throughput of your WiFi network
- server loading; assuming an iCloud backup, Apple’s regional servers may be busy
The only aspect that you may be able to directly influence is your WiFi network. You should note, however, that the slowest item in the chain will ultimately be the limiting factor.
