Wrong sim trace in my new IPhone 14 Plus ?

I have just bought a new iPhone 14 Plus and I understand that it has a dual sim tray.

However, the sim tray for my device only has room for 1 nano sim as the slot is missing at the bottom of the tray.

Is this by design or did I miss something when informing myself about this modell?

Only units originally sold in China, Hong Kong, or Macau will have two physical SIM card slots. If you bought it from there, contact the seller.
