Swipe L or R not working after watch OS upgrade
The ability to change watch faces by swiping L or R no longer works after the WatchOS upgrade. I’ve unpaired and re-paired and set up my watch as new and it still does not work. Please help.

If you’re looking to switch between faces, it’s changed. It’s one extra action of long pressing the face first, then you can swipe.
Customize the watch face - Apple Support
if you’re looking for Control Center, you no longer swipe up - press the side button.

This is an unfortunate update. I swipe between my faces quite often for different things. I hope Apple changes this
The change is soo annoying. I cannot fit enough complications on 1 screen. I am frequently switching faces to get to a desired complication.
Suggestion, add a face with 6 or 8 complications.
If you prefer the swipe left/right method, please send feedback to Apple via:

watchOS 10.2 re-enables left/right watch face swiping
• Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
• Scroll down and choose “Clock”.
• Toggle on the “Swipe to Switch Face” setting.
Thank you for the answers to this. I actually prefer this extra step as I have accidentally switched the watch face many many times in the past.
Yep, just got off chat with Apple. They removed the swipe feature to change faces. You now have to tap and hold then select the face you want as you described. Thanks!
You’re welcome.
Champion. Thanks!
