Multiple entries in Music connected to the same file on the hard drive

What do I do if I have multiple entries in Music connected to the same file on the hard drive?

I'm using Apple Music 1.3.6 with Ventura 13.5.2 on a MacBook Air M1 2020.

See Duplicate songs in iTunes/Music - Apple Community. Typically you want to show all same album duplicates and remove the newer entries while not sending the underlying files to trash. Backup before you start.

Hello,

I have thousands of songs with this issue, i.e. two library entries connecting to the same file. Can I eliminate one without harming the other listing or the actual file?

Example

Ideally one of the listings can be rid of without affecting the file. Did I mention this is happening on thousands of songs?

Much obliged,

Fels
