Your card will be charged around the time the device is prepared and actually shipped from Apple. as a guide, the charge for my new Apple Watch was billed to my card on Friday 22nd, the same day it was actually delivered. I think I saw a pre-authorisation advice a few days before but I don't know if all card issuers will tell you about the preauth.
