I use Notes almost ever day. The only problem I have with it is that I sometimes forget where I filed something. That "problem" would disappear if I could print the list, no matter now many pages it would take. How can I do that?

Notes has a Search bar in the upper right of its window. Would that help you find things?
I assume you are using Apple's Notes application, that comes with all its operating system versions. The search bar is in the upper right of the Notes window.
I don't see it, but even if it were there, it wouldn't help. How can you search for something without knowing what you're searching for? Scanning the list is what's required, and paper is better for that.
I don't see any search bar, but I've always been able to scroll the list in Numbers; however, that's not as efficient (fast) as scanning a printed list.
