No sound notification with texts

Ever since I updated my phone to the new IOS 17.0.1 it no longer sends a sound or vibrating notification for text messages. My ringer is on, notifications are on, volume is up. The only way it works is if I have the Lock Screen, Notification Center, and banners all checked to on but I don’t want all of those. I’ve never had to use those in the past. I just want badges and sound.
