After updating to iOS 17 whenever I take a photo slightly zoomed out (to 0.9x, 0.8x, etc.) and I go to view the photo immediately after taking it, the photo renders and zooms all the way out to 0.5x showing way more in frame than I wanted it to. It also won’t revert back to the original no matter what I do. Is anybody else experiencing this issue?

Depending on how you're zooming in/out while taking a photo, it might only switch between 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x, and 5x. To manually zoom, make sure you are using the zoom controls by holding and dragging the slider right or left.
If the issue persists, test if it happens in other apps that use the camera as well in case it's system wide. If it's only happening in the installed Camera app, connect with Apple Support directly for next steps: Get Support

I have an iPhone 13Promax and iOS 17 and since the latest update my camera has also been zooming out my pictures and ruining them. I hate it! And I can’t fix the photos. I take a lot of professional level photos dance and influencer pictures with my iPhone and now it’s garbage. The latest update has made my phone garbage. Apple needs to fix this. I’m literally considering getting an Android or another better camera. Also can’t search my photo library properly. Hate the update. Apple needs to fix these issues.
