My sticker drawer on IOS 17 was working and I don’t know if I hit a button or something but now when I select the sticker drawer in iMessages, it opens and closes like it crashed. It no longer will open and I can’t access my Memojis or save stickers I have tried to create. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I'm not sure if this will be helpful but when this issue happened to me today I went into Settings > Messages > iMessage Apps and then deleted the sticker package that I was getting a glimpse of prior to it crashing.
Now my drawer opens again. Must have had an old/bad sticker pack that kept the drawer from opening.

just got out of Apple Store tech appointment and they fixed it.
1-sign out of your iCloud account.
2-goto “messages” in settings and in “imessage app”. Then turn off all apps. 3-Back to “Messages” settings, turn “iMessages”off
4-goto “General” in settings and scroll down to “Transfer or reset iPhone”, press “reset” then “reset network settings”. This will delete all your WiFi passwords saved. iPhone will reboot. Once it boots back up. Goto “iMessage” and check to see if stickers drawer will open. It worked for me!
5-sign back in you iCloud in settings
6-goto your iCloud profile, then “iCloud”, click on “show all”. Turn “messages” ON. This will synced back all your iMessage contact info.
you will have to add back your wallet info.

Just tried this, but truncated it and it worked for me:
1-sign out of your iCloud account.
2-in “Messages” settings, turn “iMessages”off
3-sign back in you iCloud in settings

Update iOS to 17.1 asap!!! My sticker drawer is working now!
I had this exact same issue too. I never bothered to try to fix it until I came across this discussion. It now works for me after disabling all of the iMessage apps in settings. I hope this helps :)
I am also dealing with this issue with a new 15 Pro Max. I had already created more than 20 stickers on the phone, and then came back later and could not get the drawer to open. I select it and then it immediately closes shut. However it still works on my 2022 iPad and all the new stickers I created are there.
This is the first acknowledgement of the issue I have found online. I really hope there is a fix for this soon. I have tried all the basic things (app quitting, rebooting the phone, etc).
I have the same problem, but only on my new iPhone 15 Pro and iPad Pro. My Macbook Air (older model) and iPad mini (5th) do not have the problem, and it works fine. Both are upgraded to the latest OS and with the latest updates. Is it a problem with the newer devices not playing nice with the messages app? Is there a fault in the messages app on the newer devices? On both my older devices and my old phone and iPad that I traded in, the sticker drawer would open and all the stickers I created were in there and could be used. With all the complaints, I was expecting it to be addressed in the latest update, 17.3.1, but nope. I'll try the suggested fix in this thread and see what happens.
Thank you for responding. I too looked up everywhere on the internet with no resolution. I reached out to Apple for assistance and they opened a ticket for me with a follow up in 24 hours. Hopefully they can figure it out or send an update that fixes it.
Apple support has called me twice to gather some system analytics from my phone. No resolution to the problem has been given. The support rep assigned to me is scheduled to call me back Friday morning.
You’re lucky then… it’s not working on my iPhone while it works perfectly on my MacBook. I thus expect this is not linked to my account rather to something fishy on my new iPhone.
Anyway I’ll be travelling soon so won’t bother with the procedure again and will wait for the next iOS update.
Actually now same issue on my Mac... I just tried to add a new sticker, it failed and now the drawer is vanishing on my Mac as well. Hopefully there will be a fix soon... and if this is a setting coming from the cloud there could even be a patch without sw upgrade...
OMG, thank you mountainmommie that fixed my sticker drawer that I have not been able to use. I was kind of bummed because I really liked that sticker pack but I couldn’t use it anyway. Thanks again.

I wasn't a fan of my glitchy stickers so I didn't try to find/reinstall them. LMK how it goes if you put them in the drawer again. I was curious if it would work. Lots of the oldie packs are gone so ☹️.
This was really helpful. I was wondering how to delete it, went through the entire app store and was almost mad but then thought of googling and i got your answer… boy o boy that was such relief to find all the good stickers back and i promptly deleted the bad sticker packs. Thank you for the idea.. thank you once again.
