Message app Stickers not working on iPhone 15

Someone posted an answer that looked like it worked for everyone

sign out of iCloud

turn off iMessage

sign back in iCloud

turn back on iMessage

(I don’t have messages synced to iCloud, maybe try signing in and out of iCloud then turning on and off iMessage) if you do have them synced to iCloud .. see if that works

The fix!!! My wife got the new 15 pro max, quick transfer from 13 pro, NO STICKERS.

We contacted support, weeks later after no success new phone came in, restored, backed up, restored from cloud, restored from Mac, same problem on both phones. No matter what they or we did.

Here’s the fix…… wipe phone, start from scratch, new phone, log in to iCloud, synced pictures with cloud, turned on messages, down loaded everything one by one, signed in, etc….. apps downloaded one by one.

DO NOT RESTORE FROM BACK UP, MAC, or QUICK TRANSFER if you want those stupid stickers.

SOLUTION! Okay so I was in the same boat for months. The stickers would appear and the poof disappear. I called twice to apple support, finally I went to the Genius Bar and the guy helped me figure it out!

What he did:

•Backed up phone via iCloud

•Turned off Find my

•Connected phone to Computer

•using Genius Bar computer he went to a software restore button

•Restored iPhone software

•Turned on phone

•Started off new

•Skipped all sign ins and went straight to blank device

•Took picture of an item

•Created a sticker and saved it

•Then he erased all data and started over from scratch

•Signed me in using my iCloud back up

and BOOM working now!

all my old stickers came back and I can make new ones again.

I have an update on my experience with this problem. I noticed it was the same sticker pack that appeared and disappeared every time I opened stickers so I deleted that sticker pack and they are all working for me now.

This issue was resolved with the release of iOS v17.1 as Stickers are working without issue, including use with Message app. I worked with Apple as soon as I received my iPhone 15 Pro Max, which was on day one, and confirm this is no longer an issue. Please ensure you upgrade to the latest iOS versions when released to the general public.

What version of iOS do you have installed Jununone? This was resolved with the release of iOS v17.1. I highly recommend you apply the most current iOS update which is v17.1.2.

Still working after updating to 17.4

I have an iPhone 15 promax, other devices connected to my account were always able to use the stickers.

Scenario was as follows:

got the 15promax and migrated data from old 13 pro.

stickers showed new sticker text and all old custom stickers were gone.

when i clicked new sticker i could create a new one from an image, it seemingly succeeded and no stickers were shown....

nothing worked till update to 17.4.

i installed update opened messages, selected stickers ans was again presented with an empty box with add sticker text.

i added a sticker - was almost frustrated and ready to give up, but i decided to open it up again, and voila, all old stickers were back.

so to continue the story about no stickers etc etc I went to Apple Store and their tech people re set and wiped my phone and did a total re set.

I have stickers! For now. If it changes I’ll advise but one thing to keep in mind is you need to totally back up your phone. And I did to the cloud so most things restored but you need to reco figure your apps and wallpaper and fine tune the little things. All photos were there but needed to re sign in to wallet and credit cards and all things FB google messenger etc.

It can be done with time and effort. My only problem is with email archived messages which I’m still trying to find.

But I have the stickers. And some things like my passcode to open phone is 6digits and used to be four digits. It’s nothing earth shatteringly bad but when you’re used to things for years a certain way this is a change. So, I guess I learned to back up phone and set up new phone from this setting instead of the side by side quick set up. The restore worked but it did come at a small price.

coming on here because i was also having this issue once i got my iphone 15 and i have actually fixed it! i went to the apple store and showed them what was happening and got a ‘huh.. that’s a new one.’ they did their typical troubleshooting and then recommended i reset my phone, and that’s what did it. i ended up doing it at home because i was attempting to backup my texts to the cloud, but after many hours and hardly any going through, i decided i’d just start fresh.

go to settings, general, transfer or reset, and erase all content and settings. KEY CHOICE is to ‘keep esim’ when you do this so that you don’t erase any of your mobile connection. erase esim is for if you’re selling your phone to someone else.

this reset all settings, and i had to redownload all of my apps (i honestly could have avoided this if i had paid attention and chosen to redownload all of them). my photos were still there because they were backed up but my texts weren’t because i was too impatient.

BUT MY STICKERS WORK so it was worth it. i hope this helps!

i think I found a solution go to settings tap on messages then iMessage apps and delete all downloaded sticker packs I did it and it fixed the issue immediately

I started deleting the stickers apps from settings and iMessage and iMessage apps - it worked. After each one I deleted I’d go back to iMessage and try to open stickers. After. Few deletions it’s worked! It’s a bug on some of the stickers apps I believe.

Finally works since update to 17.4. added a sticker and when opening stickers again, even all existing stickers showed up!

Just got a reply back from the supervisor that was working with me at AppleCare to report my logs to an engineer. They are aware of the issue and it will be resolved in the upcoming iOS 17.1 update. 

guess we all just have to wait out till the public release. It’s not the end of the world y’all, it’s not.
