Migration Assistant

Trying to transfer info from MacBook Pro 2012 to brand new MacBook Pro migration assistant says logging out failed on my old Mac on my new one it’s saying looking for other servers. Have restarted old Mac still same message. Computers are close together. Help.

Are you by chance trying to use Wi-Fi? If so, that is fraught with problems.

I suggest you make a backup of the old Mac and run MA with the external backup drive connect directly to the new Mac.
