iPhone calendar spam

How can I delete spam calendar invites? The spammers send the invite to my e-mail address and it automatically loads into my calendar. I don’t want to “Decline” because then they’ll know it’s an active email address. And I don’t see a way to delete the invites. I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro, running iOS 16.6.1. There are no “Subscribed Calendars” to delete in Settings, and no random Calendars in the Calendars list.

Calendar spam has been a thing for years, not just with the release of iOS 17, as some have said.

It's also not Apple's fault a person has it. The user has to agree to allow the calendar spam to install. Usually, the user is tricked into doing this. Such as a site that has a pop-up stating a simple questions like, "Do you like this site?", with Yes and No buttons. The thing is, neither of those buttons has anything to do with the question. No matter which one you pick, you're really agreeing to allow the calendar to install on your device.

Anyway, Apple has their own video on its removal.

Thankyou!!!! I tried all other deleting/unsubscribing you name it options and none would work

This worked genius!

you have to be quick “pasting” into another day (and quickly delete that before saving) otherwise If you cut the original entry and take too long it comes back, as the poster said but, just to reinforce his instructions are perfect!!!

Thankyou soo much, it worked a treat for me, mine was already grey, I long pressed it and it went normal?! Then on the same day the first day, I long pressed it again and I was able to delete it, it then deleted the other next two months of every day scams! All gone perfect! It said it was from bulldozer whatever that is? I’ve never heard of it before?? Soo Thankyou very much, you saved me a lot of grief! 🤗

I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS!!!!

I've gone through endless iCal Spam "fix" articles that gave me instructions that don't make sense or tell me to use features that are clearly not there. This is the ONLY thing that finally got rid of my daily notification for "A Mastercard For YOU!".

Apple should send you the next release of iphone for free just for this!!!!
