iPhone calendar spam

This is how I deleted mine. First of all I went into the first day the appointment appeared in my calendar. I held my finger on the appointment and it came up with the option to cut. After this I tried to follow another users advice to click on the next day and repeat the same thing. It did give me the option to delete but it would have notified them, causing more spam. I therefore decided to repeat my first step of pressing on the appointment again and cutting. Thankfully this finally deleted the appointment. Very annoying but finally it’s gone!

I made an account on Apple community support to say thank you for this. I've been stuck with a spam invite for the past two weeks that took over my entire calander and had no way to delete it. Your method worked straight away. Hopefully it stays deleted.

I went into settings > calendar > accounts > unselect your email DO NOT DELETE IT!

check calendar to make sure the event is gone then go back into accounts (see above) and re-select your email. Go back into your calendar and it should be gone (may take a minute, make sure all of your calendars are selected)

I've gone through endless iCal Spam "fix" articles that gave me instructions that don't make sense or tell me to use features that are clearly not there. This is the ONLY thing that finally got rid of my daily notification for "A Mastercard For YOU!".

Apple should send you the next release of iphone for free just for this!!!!

Thank you!!!! It happened to me too; in "settings" there was neither sender/email nor subscription to remove. I did like you suggested and it worked. The only "problem" is that the sender gets notified about the rejection..... but, who cares.

None of the solutions offered in this 7 pages worked for me.

There’s no “unsubscribe” button.

When I long-press it just flashes at me. (As if taunting me.)

There’s no associated email.

What else ya got?

Hoping just cutting the invite as others have suggested will resolve the issue. I’ve been getting multiples of these but they are ONLY showing up in my phone calendar, they are not showing up in my email. So I can’t block them or even mark as junk. Super frustrating, wish Apple would come up with a solution.

Mine is coming from a junk email folder from one of my Outlook accounts. For me I don’t interact with it in calendar at all. I go into the Apple mail app and delete the items in the junk mail folder.

I wish Apple didn’t let those items show in the calendar in the first place. They don’t show on the Outlook version of the calendar. I also turned off all the preview on calendar Outlook options even though they weren’t showing there anyway try to help the IPad. All the junk just shows on IPad.

It worked for me. I have more than one email accounts and, calendars for each of those emails. The ones I don’t really use I deleted. Praying they don’t find the ones I use. I will say I started having problems when I synced “Nurse Grid”. I’ve had to contact them in the past about other issues needing tech support. Check if your calendars are synced with an app you’re using. If you can delete. Maybe reinstall. But I don’t recommend that either.

This is what I did it’s the only solution that makes it permanent, I’ve received other spam and after doing the long press method, it would just appear again on next calendar spam , this is by far the best solution until apple sort it out ..

I found the email in spam email folder. There I coud block the sender, but I cannot remove the invitation in the calendar, even after declining it. All I can do is to turn off the callendar, but this is not the solution. How the invitations got into the calendar I do not know.

Apple support needs to fix this issue. BrovisB worked somewhat but there is no way to stop it from happening over and over again.

I received a spam invite in my calendar, and it showed up in my email. I didn’t realize it was not a good idea to decline, but that is what I did. What does this mean to me now?
