Hello contacts_101,

Let's start off by checking the helpful steps in this article that was linked to your posting which can help with this issue: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone or iPad. Follow this guidance to delete:

"Delete a contact

When you delete a contact, it permanently deletes it from your device. If you delete a contact from your email account, you also permanently delete the contact from all devices signed into that email account.

To delete a contact:

    1. Open Contacts and tap the contact that you want to delete.
    2. Tap Edit.
    3. Scroll Down and tap Delete Contact then tap Delete Contact again to confirm."

If you are asking how to delete multiple contacts all at once, there is not a way to do so on your iPhone, but you can select multiple Contacts on the iCloud website through a browser and delete them that way. Learn more here: Create or edit contacts in Contacts on iCloud.com.

Take care.
