I am trying to buy iPhone 15 pro max with my Apple card monthly installment. and at check out they ask to select a carrier. If I select T-mobile as a carrier and use it for one month. would I be able to change the carrier after one month without any issue? my phone will work with other carrier like tello-mobile or it will be locked ?

There are multiple issues with this and there are perhaps several workarounds. If you purchase with installments a Pro model and select T-Mobile. When iPhone arrives, bypass activating T-Mobile 3 times, after the 3rd bypass you can activate on another network as long as they support eSIM. It must be shipped. You cannot pickup in store.
You can also purchase a pro model outright and then call Goldman Sachs and get it converted to Apple Card Monthly Installments. It will be unlocked and you can activate on any network that supports eSIM. The drawback to this method is you will not be able to payoff the installments early.
