Bluetooth unavailable on iPhone 15 Pro Max

New iPhone 15 Pro Max (this issue is happening another friend of mine also in a different work location). Bluetooth has been fine for 24 hours, as soon as I got to my office building, bluetooth started to crash, and cycle between "unavailable", "on" and "off". Apple tech support said I need to replace my phone. Highly unlikey, it's 99.99% a software issue, possibly with smart focus modes.

When I leave my building, restart my phone, the issue goes away. When I even enter my building the issue happens again, even with location services off. Another reason could be a flood of Bluetooth devices in an office causing the service to crash

Also not working for me - as soon as I enter the doors of my office building my Bluetooth becomes unavailable and toggles between on/off. Apple told me it was my work VPN - but that's not the case. I disconnected my work VPN, reset my phone and still had issues. As soon as I walk out of the building, the Bluetooth functions normally.

Exactly the same happens to my iPhone 15 Pro Max everyday! At the moment I'm entering my office building, the bluetooth stops working, AirPod drops off, and iPhone Bluetooth becomes Unavailable. I have to power the phone off 2-3 times to make it work again. Airplane mode, manual switch off bluetooth or mobile, turn off and remove all focus modes, none is helpful. iOS version: 17.0.3

had the exactly same issue today.

i'm using iphones starting from 4s model and have never seen "bluetooth unavailable" status, so i was just staring on the writing for minutes 🤣🤣

i tried hard restart, didn't help.

and from that moment was just hoping that my location is the reason for this to happen.

after leaving the area , bluetooth started to function normally.

Talked to a staff at Apple Store and they confirmed this issue only happens in Australia. Staff who use iPhone 15 Pro at Chatswood Apple Store have the same issue. The staff told me an engineer has been sent from US headquarter to Australia to investigate this annoying issue. Currently there is no fix until an update is available.

It happens to me as well after I updated to iOS 17.1.1.

It happens when I was in my gym, but it seems OK in my apartment. So weird.

The Bluetooth disconnected and become unavailable every five seconds, but when I was at home, it was totally fine. I will see if it happens in any other place.

Same here.

15P. Replaced my XR yesterday. Updated to latest OS--17.0.3 upon first boot. Only thing the 15P can see is the Apple Watch. My JBL headphones cannot be detected, nor anything else bluetooth related.

It shows my watch, and under OTHER DEVICES, it just spins and doesn't show anything that should've been ported over from the XR. It just spins and spins and spins...

I work in Pitt Street Sydney near Martin place . The minute i walk into my building it cuts out an then does the on/off/unavailable toggle

it also cuts out when i pass near Pitt and Bridge street closer to circular quay.

This started happening as soon as i got the phone. I took it to the Genius Bar and they said it was a corrupted restore, so suggested i do a complete refresh, which i did. It has made no difference, Of course when i am in the store it doesn’t happen, but i have a screen video of the toggling.

One of my colleagues who also has an IP15P has the exact same problem.

I am on ios17.2, the problem has happened with 17 and 17.1

This has been happening to me too on my Iphone 15 Pro Max. Observed the issue when I was going to the gym at the ground floor Carlingford Court NSW. This issue happened multiple times in and around the same area. Can I please know if this is a software issue, because if it is a hardware issue I'm within my 14 day period where I can just ask for a refund? I have the latest IoS and have done the network reset. The issue still persists. Quite disappointed that this happens as my older Iphone 11 Pro Max was a breeze to work with :(

This is happening to me too! I’ve been given a replacement device as a result but it is still happening on the new device. They did a factory reset and recommended to not restore settings back up and apps, only photos, contacts, and notes but issue is still persistent. I got home and it worked fine.

So unsure why but my issue has completely gone away. The second time I entered the office (the week after), the issue was gone. Bluetooth working completely normal. No updates or resetting needed.

was prepared to do a full reset and re-upload photos from iCloud etc etc, but once I got through the doors the issue was gone

Interesting that I just entered an Apple Store wanted to escalate this issue and the Bluetooth suddenly became unavailable 🤣 definitely it’s a software issue or a compatibility's problem with some wireless/electromagnetic devices in the environment

I went to Apple Store today and they suggest me to replace the mid system, which I don’t want to do it coz I feel the issue will still exist after reading so many comments. And also it should be fully replacement rather than just mid system replacement. I only purchased one month ago.
