Recently upgraded to ios 17 on Apple's advice. Now have a spot permanently on the right of the screen below the app icons. Tapping it brings up the notification centre. I don't want it, did not (knowingly) set it there.
How can I get rid of it, or at least, hide it?

Assistive Touch has been switched on. Turn it off by going to Settings -Accessibility -Touch and turn it off.

The amount of people that have this turn on and have NO IDEA how they got it nor how to turn it off is insane to me…
Not blaming the users, but I find this amusing.
how can I get rid of the spot (lower R of the screen) that opens the notification centre?
