iOS17.0.1 notification sounds

I am not receiving notification sounds at all. I’ve restarted the phone twice, checked the settings, changed the assigned sound, and made sure DND was not on. Is there anything I may have missed? (13 Pro)

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! We suggest you also check to be sure there's not a Focus set. This will stop you from getting notifications as well. This article goes over this features and how to check the settings: Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad.

We also recommend ensuring your software is updated to the latest version. Outdated software can cause things to misbehave: Update your iPhone or iPad

The issue began when I updated to 17.0.1. I’m currently up to date with 17.0.2. Focus is only on DND at night but I have certain contacts allowed to message me regardless. This is a direct result of updating to iOS 17.0.1 and higher.
