Old phone and new phone

Hi everyone,

I just got my new iPhone 15, and she is a beauty.

On my old iPhone 11, I have about 4000 photos of my kid from the last 5 years.

They are synced to the icloud.

Now I turned on my new phone and it asked to take over settings from my old phone. I said yes and now it is exactly like my old phone (apps, photos etc).

I have logged in to the cloud with this new phone and set it as my main phone now. I also took out the simcard and put it in the new phone.

Now I want to give away my iphone 11 but what can I do with all these photos? If I delete them from my iPhone 11, will they be deleted from the cloud? Do I lose everything? Since it's pictures of my child and all our memories, I want to make absolutely sure I can reset the phone.

Use the following procedure to erase your old iPhone. It will not affect your photos on iCloud or your new iPhone. See: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
