No more full screen video scrubbing iOS17?

Please bring back the scrubbing for video feature.

This is something completely different. The function you are talking about needs you to tap once to almost hide the content/video to show the navigation elements than very gently swipe the finger the position point in the timeline. But especially on long videos it is almost impossible to swipe just couple of seconds forward or backwards. And than you need to wait untill the navigation elements and dimming of the video disappears. But the scrubbing in comparison to it was hundred times useful and removing this feature is absolutely incomprehensible step backwards😤

I don’t understand why this was removed. I used swipe scrubbing all the time and you made your product less usable by removing it.

why wasn’t this made into a configurable option instead of outright removal?

This is simply not cool. It was one of the most used feature and I can't imagine this was an intentional move by apple. I am hoping they are listenting and fix this in the next update of iOS

Well Apple should demote the ux specialist of this decision.

You need to tap screen, then try to scrub via bar meanwhile trying to avoid app minimize or screen smudge/moves. Great ux right?

This scrubbing feature from iOS 16 was great for one handed use. We need this back!

Frustrating and kind of a step back. It feels clunky and inconvenient trying not to close the app while having the screen clutter with dated options.

Truly an awful backwards decision. Killed one of the best features of the device. Lets hope they put it back soon.

This change was done intentionally by the diversity hires at Apple. There is literally no other explanation.

I’m facing the same issue. Iphone makes simple things very complicated! I’m returning to Android, as I believe Xiaomi phones are far superior to Apple’s.

Which is not what we want. We want full screen scrubbing like before.

Worse than the risk that the app minimizes is the actual and real impact of the unnecessary tap opening a new pop up or redirect instruction making it impossible to view your video continuously. The us coder who designed this latest upgrade based on taps should be removed and Apple should fixthis immediately in 17.1.2.
