Non technical savvy person here would like to remove the update. iOS 17 has changed all my settings and I am not able to get notifications when they are turned on. I have followed basic YouTube tutorials on fixing these issues but my iPhone won't notify me of messages and my ring tones won't work, nothing.

You cannot remove the update to downgrade the device. What specific issues are you having and what have you done?

I would simple try a force restart and compare your results...

Further to my earlier post - I used the 'fix' from the apple stack exchange post - download the XCode 15 beta software, run the mobile device package only, unplug phone, close iTunes, restart iTunes, plug in phone - iTunes recognized iPhone and I was able to restore iPhone from saved backup - does not remove iOS 17, but enables iphone with iOS 17 to talk to Macbook with Sierra running on it.

I am not able to get notifications for text messages (the alert tone) won't work, I am not able to get notification when I have a message or an incoming call. I googled some trouble shooting and I can't seem to fix this issue. Also, some of my apps won't work ie; banking, and credit card. I don't do any of the social medias I am rather basic but this is frustrating as I can't seem to fix it :-/
Have old MacBook Pro with Sierra as latest software it can use - Late 2011 with GPU issues - thanks for the dud. Have iPhone 13 pro, but when updated to ios17, won't talk to MacBook.
If not talk to Mac, can't do anything with phone or iTunes - again thanks for warning ios17 would turn phone and laptop to bricks.
Need to force iPhone back to factory iOS, that is, NOT ios17. I've reset, erased, etc, but iOS 17 remains. I need iOS 17 gone from iPhone so I can use my MacBook and my phone again.
