How to stop Google forced sign-in to Gmail.

Most of us know about this problem, and I have tried every recommendation to stop it - Security, disable,

etc, etc, to no avail. Is anyone aware of a more recent method that actually works?

I have a Mac - don't have the problem on iPhone.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.7

Gmail My iPhone 13 is asking me for a password for my gmail account. There isn’t a place to put in a password. This problem started in November. Has anyone had this issue? Btw if I go through the gmail site, my mail icon has completely disappeared.
