Screen time approval not working since updates

Since the iOS and watch OS updates, I’m no longer able to approve screen time requests on my watch. The request pops up and seems to do fine when I hit approve but it does nothing on my son’s device until I go into messages on my phone and approve it there.

Prompted for Screen Time Pin on Apple Watch with no Screen Time Settings Enabled. I have an apple watch SE (ver. 10.6.1) with no screen time control set on either my phone or my watch. I wanted to access the privacy and security settings from my watch, but I keep getting prompted to put in a screen time pin?? I just got this as a hand-me-down from my mom, who definitely didn’t have screen time either. I’ve reset the watch and nothing has changed. I’ve turn screen time settings on my phone on and off again and I’m still having the issue. Any ideas???

Why are my Apple Watch apps blocked by Screen Time? I turned on Screen Time’s “share across devices” setting to share my metrics between my phone and iPad. But now, even when Screen Time is off, most apps on my Apple Watch are blocked out. I’ve turned the setting on and off a few times and can’t get my watch to work when it’s on.
