How do I factory reset my whole macbook air computer?
My computer has been having some issues when I turn it on, with popping up a lot of the apps. I am wanting to go ahead and reset it to see if it will help.

I respectfully suggest that you investigate the possible causes of what you are experiencing before resorting to that fairly drastic solution — which might not help anyway.
A more conservative approach is to first determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support.
Use your Mac for a while in that mode to determine if the same behavior occurs or not. Then, restart normally.

Get in touch with Apple Support.
I recently had to do a full factory reset on my MacBook Pro. They walked me through everything over the phone and used screen sharing. They also emailed links and direct contact number if I hit a snag after the reboot.
It was super easy process with their real time help.
