Can I remotely lock my iPhone if I lost it?

My

son lost his iPhone, how can I lock his device from my iPhone in case someone tries to sell it?

He needs to lock the phone while logged in to his Apple ID account.


One way to do this is to log into the iCloud Web interface at:

https://www.icloud.com/


Then he can click on the Find My "app", select his iPhone from the pull-down menu, and click on "Lock". He should not click on "Remove from Account" unless he wants anyone who stole/found the iPhone to be able to take over the iPhone and "make it their own."
