When I go into the control centre and pull the volume to max or put it down to mute it will kind of “bounce” back to the volume it was at and I’ll have to adjust the volume a second time, this issue started happening when I updated to iOS 17, I frequently change my volume in the control centre so this really bothers me, is there something that can be done about it or is it a bug that I’ll have to wait for Apple to fix?

Still happening in iOS 17.4 DB3. Submitted info/video/screenshots in Feedback App FB13584597. In my case it seems it's being reset to iPhone volume, instead of keep displaying Airplay device volume.
Same here. As of right now I can’t even turn volume to zero. It bounces back to almost zero. It even happens when I use the volume buttons on the side of the phone. So it’s unrelated to the screen swipe/flick whatever you call it. How annoying. I recently switched from Android and so far not impressed with apples speed to resolution of bugs. It’s not solved in 17.3 yet either, but they had time for other adds. How fast is Apple speed to resolution normally?
Same here. Extremely annoying and at times embarrassing. This iOS is RIDDLED with small bugs like this. I’ve been an iPhone user for the last 10 years and this iOS is pushing me to try a different brand phone for the first time. Support is awful and this bug has carried through about 6 updates.
This is driving me mad. I can’t turn the volume down completely anymore because it bounces back to minimum (not mute). Even with the volume keeps it bounces back.
I think it would be most helpful if everyone submitted this in the feedback app. It’s been 5 months since the bug appeared with iOS 17, I don’t think Apple sees it as that important.

It literally takes 0.1 seconds longer to drag vs. flick the slider where you want. It's clearly a bug but the workaround is not a big deal.
I never experienced the bug because I never tried to flick the volume until I stumbled into this discussion.

yall gotta fix this, it drives me insane and whilst this bug is happening I can’t get any AirPods volume, when using AirPods the volume is always at 1 above off, even if you change volume or turn up or turn it completely off, it still just plays at the lowest volume while still being on
The issue is not whether you flick or drag the slider. It seems more dependent on the speed at which it is dragged. Your comment does not contribute to this issue.
This doesn’t happen to me because of flicking. I do drag but when I close command center it bounces back up. Not a flicking issue.

Yup, maybe it‘s super hard to fix. But I also suspect they don’t necessarily look for bugs here in the discussions. It would be nice to be notified by Apple here when it’s fixed.
Mine will work but only if I slide the volume very, very slowly. If I go fast, it bounces back. But if I slide super slow then it seems to stay down.
