Hey abenafromg.

Were you able to complete all steps in the guide you recently viewed, specifically Step 7 to reset your network settings? If not, take a moment to do that as that will reset your network data to defaults and hopefully help to resolve this issue. Here are the steps and the link, just in case: If your iPhone or iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support

7. Reset your network settings
If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

If the behavior continues after completing that step, do you use a VPN or other security software? If so, temporarily remove/disable those to see if they're possibly causing interference with your network signals.

Keep us posted.

Take care!

I had the same problem and went into the app from Verizon called Safe WiFi and deleted it from my phone. My connection came back immediately. I had tried all the other fixes-reboots, shut downs-restarts, network restart, etc. It would continue to show an arrow where I was connected to WiFi, but it would immediately switch over to cell. I hope this helps. Not sure what carrier you have.
