I accidentally clicked "don't trust" this computer when I connected my new iPhone. How do I reset it so I can change that selection to "trust" this computer?

Per About the 'Trust This Computer' alert message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support, "If you choose not to trust a computer, you block its access to content on your device. The alert message appears every time that you connect your device to that computer." So when you reconnect it, you should be presented the option to trust the computer once more.

If that is true, then why, when I reconnect the same device to the same computer, do I not get the alert message again? This is why I posted for help.
