How to downgrade watch OS10 to 9 due to bad battery life

My battery lasts half the time it did before. I asked the support and they gave me their standard answer it will get better - it doesn’t! Is there a chance to get rid of the ****** os 10 and back to working 9?

In real terms there is no downgrade. You would need to return your watch to Apple Service to be completely refreshed back to original factory condition, and you would be unable to update again - ever - because it would find WatchOS 10 again.

Apple's service agent was correct, the battery behaviour of your Apple Watch should revert to its previous life after a day or two. Almost everyone who does a major version upgrade sees reduced life for a few days while the new software cleans up and reindexes. That's a lot of extra hidden work which uses extra power but it is only temporary. Just be patient and don't try to stop it happening, because you can't.

I finally have fixed this battery issue. It appears the software update on the watch along with Apple phone update changed some of my settings keeping the watch on constantly along with other apps. Ended up resetting the watch and changing the setting for the apps that some how were turned on all the time. Finally working as it should. Suggest calling help desk for assistance if needed.

My Apple Watch Ultra battery kept draining on a pre-release version of iOS 10. I took it to the Apple Store, it was sent out and came back, they refreshed the iOS. Now, iOS 10 has been once again updated and is once more sucking the life from my once beloved Apple Watch Ultra. This error needs corrected quickly, what is the use to have this device if it cannot stay powered on for more the 3 hours?

I updated my watch last night, it won’t last an hour on a full charge now, charged it 3 times today. I called apple customer service, she told me for $99 they can replace the battery, because the 1 year limited warranty was over. It was last 20 hours before, 3 days if i had it on low power mode. They won’t take any blame to their “updates” that are literally meant to screw up our devices. I can’t believe how crooked they are. I plan to buy a new watch and put my current one in the box and return it claiming it doesn’t work. Cause apple can kiss my rear end at this point. Money grubbers. Did you see the article about France telling apple they will no longer sell the 12 because the radiation levels are passed the safety regulations?!? Maybe they should put more time into making a device that will actually last, and not just pump out a new phone every year that gets worse and worse. I’m glad i didn’t get the newest version. It has had so many problems it makes me want to switch to Samsung.

Update to my post: So I stopped wearing my iWatch since it was pretty much useless. Then I checked for an update yesterday, no update. But wait, I have an option to try the Beta OS Release 10.2? Well, normally I'm not a Beta guy but hey, I'm not even using the watch now. So today I have the Beta installed. I'll update again soon.
