I made the mistake of installing the 17.2.1 update, which is full of serious bugs. I have an iPhone 12 with T-Mobile cell service. The phone would not connect to the cell network, just cranked and cranked and gave an error message, so no calls or data. Tried shutting down and restarting several times - no luck.
When I called Apple they tried for a hour, but could not fix it. They said they’d have to wipe my phone and reinstall everything, but could give no assurance this would solve anything.
They then suggested I call T-Mobile to see if they could help - very frustrating when Apple caused the issue. T- Mobil, on the other hand, was very helpful, but had to walk me through loading a new eSIM card, and basically resetting up the data on the phone to connect. It worked for a few hours, but now won’t connect until I reset network settings, which I’ve had to do several times. And the phone also no longer remembers WiFi passwords for the network we are on.
Very frustrating that an Apple update has not been tested enough, and therefore causes such serious issues. If you want to be able to use your phone during the holidays, stay away from this awful update!
Don’t update to 17.0.3 ….. heating issue was solved in the last update but after 0.3 update iPhone 13 started heating!
wtf is apple doing?
dont ruin your brand… people are not ready suffer themselves after paying you an enormous amount 😐
please do some RnD before launching!
we can’t even hold the phone…. 17.0.2 was way better.
I have just carried out the latest update to 17.2 and ever since installing it my phone (iPhone 11) now has a mind of its own. it opens and closes apps, changes screens like I have swiped up opens a different page etc. Obviously I can not do anything at all with it
I have turned it on and off multiple times but have no success in making it work like it should.

Sounds like you are doing better than my IOS 17.2 update experience on IPhone 13 today. Absolutely no haptic response. Slide up to unlock? Not working. Tried to power off. Screen stuck on “slide to power off”. Totally unable to swipe. My phone might as well be bricked.
Tried a force restart?

Hold the third button press until the Apple logo shows. Continue holding the third button press past any sliders that might appear.
Updated To iOS 17.2.1 about 9 hours ago. Since, I can’t stay connected to Bluetooth devices; can connect but after 7-8 minutes…connection drops and I have to reconnect to the device.
No issues with Bluetooth before this update so I’m confused. I thought 17.x.x updates were security not for updating other issues like Bluetooth.

That seems to be a hardware problem with this iPhone 15, and you will want to contact Apple Support.
Excuse me 17.01 and 17.02
The people that work for Apple may or may not read feedback or enhancements or bug-report postings around here. Best send those directly to Apple.

Mr Hoffman - the concern I have is after downloading 17.1 I have had issues with contacts and the new posters - really liked the idea ,this phone is a month oldgreat addition although mine is mixing up contacts- messages are not lit to send message from contact card must do manuallly. As I am studying my iPhone 13 manual don’t know if I needed to do the update at all . Device a month old from Apple. I am a novice at technology try to learn something Dailey - Apple Advisors are the best to help - time learn myself and keep all options open for new ways. All help is appreciated. Thank You for your time in responding to first question. Faith4Ever61

Will the 17.2 bring back the new text/ring tones that was originally included in the 17 update? After updating to the 17.1 all of my new text and ringtones disappeared :(
Nobody here knows the answer to that, as there is presently no iOS 17.1 nor iOS 17.2 version available.
iOS 17.0.1 and 17.0.2 are available.
If updating to iOS 17.0.2 does not resolve your issue (and I’d doubt that it does, based on the release notes), report the issue to Apple via feedback: Product Feedback - Apple

After the update in iphone 12 mini speakers stop working
only earpiece speaker are in use
please fix it in upcoming update
Nobody here can do that. Apple isn’t here. Apple may or may not read replies and bug reports here.
If updating to iOS 17.0.2 does not resolve your issue (and I’d doubt that it does, based on the release notes), and if un-pairing and re-pairing do not resolve this, then report the issue directly to Apple via their preferred feedback path: Product Feedback - Apple
Removing the ability for users to modify (delete or move tools) in the new iMessage is an ADA issue. For those with clinical ADHD like myself this update is awful and dramatically slows down ease, enjoyability and productivity of this highly used app. Please return the former functionality of allowing users to modify the full bar and not force every apple tool that we don’t use upon our every interaction.

That seems like it might be a display or digitizer failure. Ghost touches and missed touches are common symptoms. If there is a protective case or screen-protective film here, remove it, and test again.
Force restart the iPhone, and test again:

For as long as I remember, when I held a finger on text, along with other choices, I'd be able to choose "Select" or "Select All". Did so this morning (hadn't updated in several months) copying parts of an email so I could paste it into another.
Then, I updated to 17.2. Now, in Safari, neither "Select" nor "Select All" are offered as options, so I can no longer copy and paste text. At my gmail account it's even worse..., I can highlight one word, but can no longer drag the end thing one way or another, plus, NO Options appear once that single word is highlighted. The word is highlighted with one touch, unhighlighted with another. Nothing can be done with it.
17.2 has eliminated one of the most basic and often used functions. Or, could be the geniuses behind the changes have once again made a simple task much more complicated and hidden from we who are trying to USE our devices for daily tasks.
Solution, anyone?
